We have a team of experienced designers and technicians who use up-to-date CAD, FEA & CFD & Pioneering Advanced Manufacturing techniques to ensure right 1st time delivery within compressed programmes. Dash-CAE leads the industry in specialist engineering derived from its F1 roots.
We are looking for a Composite Inspector to assist the current team with a number of projects across, Motorsport, Automotive, Defence and Aerospace sectors.
Job purpose:
The postholder will be responsible for the inspection of components in accordance with company processes and upholding the highest quality standards. The role will involve completing assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
Key responsibilities (including but not limited to)
? Complete assigned workload; ensuring that daily production targets are met
? Ensure efficient running of all outlined quality systems and processes
? Structural and dimensional verification of component parts and tooling
? Supporting with maintenance and calibration of all measuring equipment
? Writing, monitoring and maintaining department and company-wide procedures and processes
? Provide regular communication updates to the whole team
? To be always polite and courteous to all fellow employees
? To be well presented at all times, especially when dealing with customers, guests and suppliers
? Support the team to deliver the highest quality parts to the agreed delivery dates; ensuring work is completed efficiently to plan
? Ensure processes are followed and that traceability paperwork is completed accurately and in full
? Feedback quality concerns or issues to manager
? Take good care of equipment and tools
? Perform daily housekeeping and 'Clean As You Go' checks within team area
? Undertake any ad-hoc tasks when requested by manager
Useful Key Skills / Attributes:
? Able to read and fully understand engineering drawings and customer specific specifications
? To have full understanding of metrology and GDT techniques
? To have a high level of attention to detail
? Able to use all hand operated measuring devices
? Able to use 3D scanning hardware and software efficiently
? Computer literate on "standard" software packages
? Able to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner
? Able to motivate team members to deliver excellence
? Able to remain calm under pressure
? Approachable and enthusiastic manner
