We are expanding and are recruiting for a QA Technical Specialist QC Support person to join our team.

Role overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain QMS ensuring company obligations are met.

Ensure all technical and quality requests are actioned and completed in timely manner. Supplier and product approval ensuring they meet all key internal and external standards. Key role in maintaining BRC accreditation as well as customers own standards Ensure that all product related customer complaints are investigated, reported and completed in a timely manner Compile and issue reports on Quality KPI's including assisting with the preparation of the Monthly Quality Management Review report. Key Team player with regards to development, implementation and maintaining of Food safety management system. Execute evaluations of branded products including specifications, and label information for key retail accounts. Create and/or review product specifications, providing timely response and direction to internal and external stakeholders Ensure records are maintained in accordance with corporate and auditing standards including micro results schedule. Maintain internal audit schedule by liaising with external consultants responsible for conducting the audits. as well as ensuring records are maintained in accordance with corporate and auditing standards Food Safety and Quality Training when required Participate in scheduled Daily QC checks. Food Safety Culture: Foster and drive the Food safety culture agenda for Sysco BRCGS and retailer audit management. (Also to take an active role in organic, MCS chain of custody, Global Gap chain of custody, SFPA and SEDEX audits.) Lead/ Participate in customer and third-party audits, completion of corrective actions and root cause analysis Support the NPD function on site by ensuring nutrients, specifications shelf-life testing are completed and entered into the appropriate internal and external customer databases. Maintain customer specifications and label design requirements in QA file and on-line where required by the customer Active participation and documentation of mock product recall exercise. Dealing with Suppliers and maintenance of supplier approval records. Stay close to technical and legal developments in the industry and monitor food alerts through RASSF, SFPA, BRC, FDA and FSAI websites
Requirements:

Qualification in a recognised food /science/quality discipline desirable. Previous experience within the food industry at Quality Assurance level Knowledge of food related law and industry standards Experience in food safety and quality procedures and policies. Understanding of customer requirements. Good communication and influencing skills Be a highly motivated individual with can do attitude Flexibility in handling multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment
