Role Overview:




Veranova is seeking a QC Chemist to support analytical testing of in-process, raw material, and finished product samples in a cGMP-compliant environment. This role will utilize techniques such as HPLC, Karl Fischer, and Loss on Drying (LOD) to ensure product quality and compliance with ICH guidelines and internal procedures.

Core Responsibilities:



Perform in-process analysis for different products using variety of analytical techniques (e.g. HPLC, Karl Fisher (KF), Loss on Drying (LOD)) with minimum delay to the production. Organise and prioritise the samples received to minimise delay to production. Ensure effective communication with supervisors and manufacturing operators is in place to adequately support production and in-process analysis is achieved to the specifications laid down. Ensure all duties are performed to and maintain cGMP standards. Maintain the instruments in the laboratory so that accurate results are achieved with the minimum of delay. Ensure all investigations are escalated to the Supervisor and recorded within internal system (Trackwise). Assist in the preparation and/or review of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) on request of Supervisor. Assist with process improvement efforts to enhance analytical testing, compliance and procedures. Perform duties in a safe and efficient manner including good housekeeping of laboratory area. Comply with SOP's and company procedures on EHS, cGMP and controlled drug regulations. Carry out any other duties which are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

Qualifications:



Required

Degree in Analytical Science or equivalent HND/HNC 2 years' experience in a Quality role, ideally in fine chemicals or Pharmaceuticals Demonstrate expertise in chemical analysis, including chromatographic separation techniques (e.g. HPLC and GC) Experience in working to cGMP and ICH guidelines Experienced in performing duties in accordance with site EOHS requirements Good teamwork skills Ability to work to moving deadlines, flexible approach to people and situations Strong communication skills - verbal and written
Preferred

Moderate computer skills Good decision-making and problem-solving skills Open to continuous learning and support change
Special Factors

Shift work required. To wear the relevant PPE at all times. May have to lift and move heavy equipment and material.
