Proseal UK Ltd is a company that designs and manufactures high quality tray sealing and conveying systems for the food industry and has manufacturing facilities in the UK, North America, and Australia. Formed in 1998, Proseal has not only become the leading manufacturer of tray sealing machinery and tooling in the UK but is now also recognised as a major force internationally with manufacturing facilities in United states and Australia along with distributors in Ireland, Holland, Spain, Canada, South America, and Dubai.
The Opportunity ...
Your role:
Working as part of the inspection team you will be a trusted partner responsible for ensuring that all Proseal machinery leaving the factory is of the highest possible standard, ensuring that each product meets both internal and external regulatory requirements. You will also be expected to maintain the company's focus on safety, quality, cost and delivery.
Key Tasks and Accountabilities:

• Ensure machines are built to correct customer specifications and are safe.
• Ensure assembly build quality is of the highest possible standard.
• Help ensure all PDI's are fully completed, and machines tested.
• Continually strive to improve the PDI process.
• Ensure quality, best practice and new procedures are effectively communicated to the Assembly Team.
• Help new fitters with their integration into the team and ensure that they are aware of all Quality protocols.
• Keep up to date on all Proseal UK Ltd products and procedures.
• Create quality and training documentation and ensure that it is stored in the correct location.
• To be flexible in their approach to inspection and other roles within the business thereby ensuring that production demands and customer expectations are always achieved.
• Identify opportunities for improvement that lead to enhancements of product quality.
• Improve manufacturing efficiencies and product cost reduction.
• Participate in the creation and/or revision of work instructions for the inspection function.
• Be competent in the use of the businesses chosen inspection equipment.

Ensuring at all times that your actions are in compliance with the businesses (including statutory compliance) health, safety and environmental requirements and to immediately report any shortcomings

Qualifications and Experience:

• Able to demonstrate a successful track record in engineering (5 years minimum) ideally with HNC/HND qualifications or equivalent.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Must be dextrous and able to carefully, accurately use test equipment, gauges and measuring equipment.
• Computer literate on Microsoft packages like Excel, Word etc.
• Ability to demonstrate fitting skills.
• Able to develop job knowledge and expertise through continual personal development.
