Our Commercial & Industrial division designs, fabricates and constructs structural steelwork for a variety of different sectors including commercial offices, stadia & leisure, industrial & distribution, data centres, retail and health and education.
The division has manufacturing sites in three locations: Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each has full-service capabilities and modern manufacturing processes enabling us to provide a high-quality product to a variety of different sectors. Each of our sites has its own strong reputation in the market and between them cover a wider geographical area, including Europe. They continue to set the

Vacancy Details
In the QC Inspector position you will ensure that all welds and fabrications meet client requirements and industry standards. You will play a key part in maintaining quality throughout the welding process--before, during, and after welding.
Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Perform 100% visual inspection of all welds in line with CSWIP 3.1 standards.
Carry out detailed visual weld inspections, MPI inspections, and welder audits.
Conduct Magnetic Particle Testing (MPI) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
Calibrate and maintain test equipment.
Assess weld quality, determine necessary rework, and ensure compliance with tolerances.
Escalate quality issues outside of tolerance to the Quality & Responsible Welding Coordinator.
Inspect every weld to ensure adherence to working procedures and standards.
Review welder competency (ISO 9606) every two years and conduct six-monthly reviews.
Prepare and maintain accurate NDT reports.
Key Skills & experience
The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a similar position with a background in steel fabrication.
As well as,
CSWIP 3.1 Visual Inspection certification.
PCN Level 2 Magnetic Particle Inspection.
Strong understanding of welding standards and procedures.
