Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and committed QC Technician to join our QC team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting physical and visual testing on textile fabrics and samples to verify they meet all required specifications and performance standards. They will accurately interpret and record test results, communicate findings to relevant stakeholders, and help maintain the consistently high standards of Beechfield Brands products.

Responsibilities

Perform physical and visual tests on bulk production fabrics (e.g., colour continuity, weights, colour fastness, shrinkage) and maintain organised test documentation Evaluate pre-production samples against technical packs and approved standards Analyse, document, and report test results internally, escalating deviations as required Communicate externally with suppliers regarding test outcomes and follow-up actions Conduct colour measurements using a Spectrophotometer Maintain Colour Standards Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly Ensure lab environment is organised and maintained in compliance with health and safety standards. Review customer returns to assess fault types Re-work of stock on a need's basis.

Qualifications

GCSE English and Mathematics 4-9 or equivalent

Essential criteria

Organised and methodical. Ability to interpret technical specifications and standards. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Good written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable criteria

Experience in textile testing or quality control, ideally in a lab or production environment. Knowledge of textile properties and testing methods. Familiarity with textile laboratory equipment and safety protocols.

Pay: 24,420.00-25,000.00 per year
