InterMoor are looking to hire a QHSE Manager for their Moorings Business Line. The role will have overall QHSE accountability for the Moorings business unit, being responsible for the compliant and safe delivery of field and local operations and delivery against in-year QHSE Targets, ensuring each Business Line location is managed in compliance to all necessary QHSE standards.




The role is an active member of the Moorings Business Line, Senior Leadership Team. The primary purpose of this role is to provide effective Leadership and pro-active management of the Moorings Business Line QHSE Function giving advice and guidance as and when required.




The role will work closely with other members of the Moorings SLT and other senior leaders within the business implement best practice across the Business Line geographically. Through the Business Line QHSE Team, the role holder will ensure that all operations, QHSE standards and best practise are aligned and delivered as per international, European and UK standards. In collaboration with the other members of the Moorings SLT and AGL functional management, collectively continually seek ways to develop and improve the safety culture, processes, and facilities in relation to QHSE.




The role holder must be prepared to travel and become directly involved in incident investigation and emergency response.




Duties & Responsibilities


- Maintain a current listing of Business Line QHSE Compliance areas.


- Support the implementation the QHSE part of the BL Annual Compliance Plan, to an agreed a standard of delivery.


- Provide relevant Guidance, Support, and Encouragement and there-by assist Business Line EVP, Operating Company Directors, General Managers and HSE Advisors, to discharge their QHSE responsibilities.


- Perform audits in accordance with the Segment QHSE Compliance plan.


- Research, define and promote QHSE best practice within the Business Line.


- Promote Line Management leadership and responsibility for QHSE matters.


- Produce reports on QHSE issues for the Group, in accordance with the plan.


- Work with procurement teams to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.


- Ensure that manufacturing and production processes meet International and Nationals standards.


- Review customer requirements to ensure they are met with the highest standards.


- To establish and promote good practice in QHSE across Acteon Segment companies.


- To develop Line Directors and Managers awareness and understanding that QHSE forms an integral part of Line Management responsibilities & objectives.


- To produce, review & clearly communicate compliance with the Acteon Group seamless safety policy & guidance relating to QHSE.


- To support cross-segment and intercompany communications, to assist in sharing of QHSE best practice amongst Acteon Group companies.


- To provide necessary support and liaison with clients, authorities, subcontractors and other relevant third parties on QHSE issues.


- To chair independent reviews to assess the effectiveness of QHSE systems & identify continuous improvement opportunities.


- To keep Acteon BL companies abreast of new and impending QHSSE legislation.


- To participate and where appropriate lead investigations of major breaches of QHSE matters.


- Monitor the adequacy of Operating Company Emergency Response programs.


- To maintain, monitor and publish QHSE statistics for the Acteon Group.


- To assist Acteon Group companies, establish and audit systems to suitably manage and demonstrate corporate compliance for the relevant matters, but in respect of: Health, Safety & Environmental.




Requirements


- Minimum 5 years in health and safety 'senior management' position across multi-site/multi-national organisations.


- Good working knowledge of health safety and environmental management systems and current legislation & best practice.


- Coached/mentored staff.


- Degree/diploma in Health and Safety and/or Environmental Science (and recognised qualification in opposing non-degree qualification)


- Membership of recognised industry body.


- Excellent "customer" facing skills e.g. influencing, negotiation and problem solving.


- Research skills backed up by effective and practical written procedures.


- Commitment to continuous improvement


- Experience and Knowledge of implementation of behavioural safety programmes, occupational health, and mental health strategies.


- Disposition/Personality what sort of person.


- Pragmatic, realistic, balanced, and charismatic, trustworthy, and dynamic motivated self-starter.
