Key requirements:



Proven experience in management of personnel, team leadership, mentoring staff and support their development plans. 5+ years experience in a QHSE Lead role, preferably in automation or engineering environments. Previous involvement developing and maintaining departmental budgets. NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum); working towards Diploma or equivalent. ISO awareness and familiarity with management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO13485, ISO4501 and ISO14001. IOSH Certification Confined Space and Working at Height Certifications

Responsibilities:



Responsible for the total QHSE requirements of all U.K. and Ireland sites Manage Quality and Safety Inspections. Assist with vendor audits. Responsible for ISO QHSE standards and compliance To manage all aspects of the QHSE department including personnel requirements To control the system requirements in line with applicable ISO standards and to liaise with the governing body to ensure conformance. To ensure products conform to drawings and specifications in line with engineering design. To ensure that production techniques are to the required standard to efficiently produce quality products. To appraise vendors on a regular basis and to score vendors on a points system and document for QHSE audits. Responsible for ensuring all product certification requirements are met. Support the Implementation of QHSE policies changes. Maintain contractor Safety Plans Carryout and/ or support the operation teams in the completion of risk assessments (inc. COSHH) and development of safe operating methods. Formalise monthly reports to drive continuous improvement across the business. Act as the competent Person for all health, safety and environmental matters advising contract directors and management, identifying and responding to current legal, Standards and best practice requirements. Manage the QHSE team in their development and delivery of service excellence. Work proactively with employees to establish and maintain a programme of continuous improvement in the management of health, safety, and wellbeing within their areas of responsibility. Lead investigations of occurrences, hazards etc. and ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented and evidenced. Liaise with HSE / Local authorities as first point of contact regarding incident/accident investigation as required. Plan practical and effective methods (both preventative and remedial) when promoting QHSE and safe working practices including risk assessments. Delivery of Management QHSE training and Employee Safety Training as required.
