Job Overview


We are seeking a highly organised QOF Administrator and IT Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting Practice Achievements and IT operations, ensuring that all systems run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires strong organisational skills, a knack for data entry, and proficiency in various software applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the Practice continues to perform well and for providing IT support to staff.

Job description: (this list is not exhaustive)



Work towards the relevant QOF and LES targets for each financial year.

Undertake regular clinical audits on all QOF targets and ensure that current and proposed achievements are within the expected ranges

Recall patients for Annual Reviews - by telephone, text, letter and email

Monitor all relevant investigations and ensure that these are carried out in the relevant time frames

Ensure that patients are on the correct medications and dosage as per QOF targets and protocols

Maintain patient information & clinical coding as identified in the QOF & LES indicators

Submit information where required and within the expected timeframes

Work closely with members of the clinical team to ensure that all data is correctly recorded to ensure achievement of targets

General office duties

Sort day to day IT issues and direct team members to advice where necessary

Any additional duties as required

Health & safety:



The post-holder will assist in promoting and maintaining their own and others' health, safety and security as defined in the practice health & safety policy, the practice health & safety manual, and the practice infection control policy and published procedures. This will include:

Using personal security systems within the workplace according to practice guidelines Identifying the risks involved in work activities and undertaking such activities in a way that manages those risks Making effective use of training to update knowledge and skills Using appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards Actively reporting of health and safety hazards and infection hazards immediately when recognised Keeping own work areas and general/patient areas generally clean, assisting in the maintenance of general standards of cleanliness consistent with the scope of the job holder's role Undertaking periodic infection control training Reporting potential risks identified Demonstrate due regard for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

The post-holder will:

Apply practice policies, standards and guidance Discuss with other members of the team how the policies, standards and guidelines will affect own work Participate in audit where appropriate

Person Specification



Essential:

Office skills including typing and computer skills

Good and confident telephone manner

Ability to work independently and use own initiative

Ability to work as part of a team

Ability to manage own time effectively both short and long term

GCSE Maths & English grade 4 or above

A basic understanding of IT hardware & software

Desirable:

Experience in health care

Experience in the SystmOne clinical IT system

Understanding of QOF and LES processes

Full training available in post for the successful candidate.

20 hours per week, Tuesday to Friday. 12.79 p.h.
