Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor (QS) in Construction to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing costs and ensuring the financial viability of construction projects. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Duties

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Monitor project budgets and expenditures, implementing cost control measures as necessary. Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with project specifications. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to resolve any financial discrepancies. Prepare tender documents and assist in the selection of contractors. Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to projects. Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes as they arise.

Requirements

A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in cost control within the construction industry is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with stakeholders. Proficiency in relevant software applications for cost estimation and project management. A strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
