GCSE Maths Tutor
for in-person sessions.
Role Summary
We're currently seeking a confident and capable
Maths tutor
to deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned sessions to students preparing for their
GCSEs
. Sessions are held in person and typically involve groups of
2 to 6 students
. We are looking for someone with strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and effectively in a supportive environment.
Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Applications without QTS will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Lead in-person small group sessions focused on GCSE Maths content
Adapt teaching materials and methods based on students' individual learning levels and needs
Foster a motivating and inclusive learning atmosphere
Track student development and share relevant feedback with parents or guardians when needed
Ensure consistency and punctuality for all scheduled sessions
Work in coordination with Future Tutors' academic team to maintain lesson quality and effectiveness
What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
Strong grasp of the UK GCSE Maths curriculum
Previous tutoring or classroom teaching experience is highly desirable
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
A patient, encouraging approach to teaching and learning
Reliable transportation to attend in-person sessions
Available for regular sessions during afternoons, evenings, or weekends
