Alliance Psychological Services is an independent provider of counselling and psychological therapy services based in the Tees Valley area and working across the North-East region.

We are currently recruiting for a qualified CFD or IPT Therapist to work in our IMPACT on Teesside NHS Talking Therapies Service.

The successful applicant will be employed by Alliance Psychological Services working within the Impact on Teesside service, which is a partnership between Alliance Psychological Services and Teesside Mind.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will be registered with an appropriate professional body and hold either current registration with IPT UK or have successfully completed formal training in Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression.

The postholder will work within Impact on Teesside's NHS Talking Therapies service. The role will include providing intake assessments to patients and includes opportunities to deliver groupwork.

Job responsibilities

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

To work as a member of the Impact on Teesside Talking Therapies team

To create and maintain effective working relationships with the wider Impact team and with NHS partner organisations To deliver IPT or PCE-CFD to clients of the service in-person and online adhering to all relevant clinical and organisational standards and policies To provide intake assessments to potential clients of the service, to identify if a potential clients main presenting problem is within scope of NHS Talking Therapies and to confirm if there are any significant barriers to offering safe or effective treatment within NHS Talking Therapies
Safeguarding

Responsible for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults by promoting the welfare of service users at all times and operating within local policies and procedures. Under guidance and support taking appropriate safeguarding action to protect children and vulnerable adults at risk of significant harm. Under guidance and supervision to identify and support families in accessing Early Help Services To share appropriate information with other agencies regarding the service users' wellbeing and progress keeping within the boundaries of Confidentiality and Information sharing protocols.
To provide a professional and ethical service

Qualifications

Qualification in Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (CFD) or in Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) Membership of or registration with an appropriate professional body Evidence using the career framework of training in mental health and experience working in a stepped care service for anxiety and depression Good record of Continuing Professional Development and willingness to continue this

Experience

Experience of working in a mental healthcare setting Ongoing clinical supervision of therapeutic work. Up to date knowledge of therapeutic approach to be practised. Awareness of a range of therapeutic approaches.
