Job Description

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Childcare Practitioner to join our team here in Kilmarnock.

This is a full-time position working 38 hours (4X10 hours shifts, 8am-6pm) per week. The hourly rate of pay for this post is 12.92 per hour.

Your qualifications and experience:

We are looking for a qualified childcare practitioner to come and work in our nursery. Ideal candidates will hold a SSSC recognised qualification equivalent to SCQF Level 7 e.g. SVQ3/HNC in childcare and have a minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience in working with children and young people and be available to work between the hours of 8am and 6pm.

The Role:

The successful candidates will be expected to deliver high quality early learning and childcare for children; they will be expected to support the Service Manager and the existing team.

The Setting:

The nursery is connected to the CentreStage Village and is part of the charity Flexible Childcare Services Scotland (FCSS). FCSS is a national charity that is unique in that parents are able to book childcare by the hour, pay as they go and change their bookings each week. This flexible childcare model helps save families money on their childcare while supporting them back into education and employment, helping to distance the whole family from poverty. Thanks to partnership with East Ayrshire Council the nursery offers fully funded places for eligible 2s and all 3-5-year-olds.
