Job Description
Woodland Outdoor Kindergartens is an indoor /outdoor kindergarten where some children spend on average 6 hours every day outside in local woodland, playing and learning, Others spend time in a new and stimulating indoor space with access to a secure garden and surrounding areas.
Woodland Outdoor Kindergartens works in partnership with Glasgow City Council. We are providing a unique experience to work at the kindergarten but with a small group of children indoors, providing day to day care and education for some our youngest explorers.
The innovative and successful private childcare provider has two outdoor kindergartens; one located in the south side and the other in the west end of Glasgow.
Woodland Outdoor Kindergartens are looking for a new practitioner to join the team at our
South Side Kindergarten

Full-time Qualified Childcare Practitioner(indoors)
Permanent
37 Hour Contract
(Days to be confirmed) Working hours are8am-6pm
Start Date: July/Aug 2025Essential Skills:
Ability to engage and interact with young children Ability to work professionally and co-operatively with parents/carers and staff Understanding of and commitment to child-led learning Understanding of outdoor learning Understanding of Child development and ability to track childrens progress.Essential Personal Attributes:
Compassion and caring Adaptable and dependable. Genuine interest in the natural environment and promoting outdoor Play. Team player Ability to work on own initiative Physical fitness
Essential Qualifications:
Scottish childcare qualification such as SVQ Level 3 - Social Services (Children & Young People) and SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) SCQF level 7
Desired Qualifications
:Experience with children aged 2-5
