Our Preschool has just celebrated our 1st birthday , we are so excited to be offering a new position within the company.

We are a small family run business and currently have 15 staff that work for us over 4 settings , we are looking for a part time deputy manager to work at our preschool.

You must be qualified minimum level 3 practitioner who has more than 3 years experience working with children age 5 years and under.

You will be floor based, overseeing the planning and organised activities, role modelling to the staff and without no doubt offering all the children in our care great and memorable experiences.

The position is term time only you will be required to work within these hours, Monday - Friday 7.30am - 6pm, you will be given fixed hours/days . You will be expected to be bank cover for the other days, if required and more days will be on offer as number of children increases.

We are looking for a deputy manager with a passion for making a difference. Who will support the manager and the rest of our team.

Our vision is for the individual to strive every day for greatness and are confident in providing experiences that children may not get to access outside of the setting. The successful candidate will organise and facilitate play activities, promote positive interactions, and ensure the wellbeing of children under their supervision. This role offers an opportunity to utilise management and leadership skills within a childcare setting, contributing to the development and happiness of young children

As we are a new setting, it is important to be confident in your role and help to design the preschool around the child, by making their early years experience with us of a memorable one and to endeavour to make the environment a safe and happy place with many learning aspects

We follow the safer recruitment program and we support all our staff, and training is given throughout.

Duties & responsibilities



Welcoming the children in the mornings.

Supporting them at meal times.

Children's emotional well-being is given unquestionable priority.
Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met.
Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the setting and promote these daily in every routine.
Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running, and the safety and wellbeing of children and staff.

Ensuring children are safe on outings.

Building strong relationships with our families
Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures.
Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments.
Attend 3 staff meetings a year to ensure that you remain updated on key priorities, changes, developments, planning and regularly review company policies and procedures.

Being SENCO trained is a plus, would prefer candidates with an updated DBS and safeguarding DSL trained. We do offer training throughout your time with us.

Requirements and skills:


Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification - essential

Fluent in written and spoken English - essential

Over 3 year's experience of working in Early Years

Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements

We are committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate will be required for all posts. This post will be subject to enhanced checks as part of our Safer recruitment program

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 17 - 30 per week
