Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires strong organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and proficiency in IT systems to ensure smooth operations within the practice.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Provide excellent patient care by ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their treatment. Maintain accurate patient records and update information as required using practice management software. Sterilise and prepare dental instruments in accordance with health and safety regulations. Manage appointment schedules, including booking, confirming, and rescheduling appointments as needed. Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, oral hygiene instructions, and post-treatment care. Support the dental team in maintaining a clean and organised work environment. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in dental nursing.

Requirements

Qualified Dental Nurse with relevant certification or diploma. Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and understanding. Excellent organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Proficient IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling software. Fluent in English with strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required. Previous experience in a dental setting is advantageous but not essential; new graduates are welcome to apply.
