Job Summary

We are seeking a kind, dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality treatments, and ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within the practice. This position requires strong communication skills, excellent organisational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment for all patients.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Provide chairside support to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns they may have. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure that all documentation is completed in a timely manner. Sterilise instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment areas to adhere to health and safety regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure effective communication and coordination of care. Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up calls to optimise patient flow within the practice.

Requirements

Qualified and GDC Registered Dental Nurse with relevant certification or diploma. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Proficient IT skills for maintaining patient records and using dental software systems. A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times. Previous experience in a dental practice is essential.
