We're looking for a caring, passionate, and professional Dental Nurse to join our friendly team. The ideal candidate will thrive in making patients feel at ease, take pride in their work, and enjoy being part of a supportive group that works hard while having fun along the way. This vacancy is for a full time or part time position for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide chairside assistance to all members of the dental team during examinations and treatments.
Prepare and maintain the clinical environment, including sterilising instruments and ensuring equipment is in working order.
Support patient care by preparing them for procedures, ensuring they are comfortable, and providing post-treatment instructions.
Accurately complete patient records and ensure compliance with confidentiality regulations.
Mix materials for procedures such as fillings, impression and restorations as required.
Assist with taking radiographs under the direction of the dentist.
Follow infection control protocols and ensure the surgery is cleaned and disinfected according to current guidelines.
Support staff with patient records, stock control, and general administrative tasks including Reception cover when required.
Uphold health and safety regulations to adhere to the General Dental Council's standards.
Ensure surgeries are clean, organized, and ready for use.
Participate in ongoing training, meetings, and practice development.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
NVQ Level 3 Dental Nursing or equivalent qualification.
Registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).
At least one year of post-qualification experience working in a dental practice.
Full understanding of infection control and health and safety practices.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
A caring and professional attitude when dealing with patients.
A true team player who enjoys helping others and contributing to a positive atmosphere.
Reliable, organized, and professional with strong attention to detail.
Desirable Skills:
Previous experience of working in a Private Dental Practice.
Experience with dental software (such as Dentally) is beneficial but not essential as full training will be given.
Experiencing assisting in specialised dental procedures such as implants, cosmetic, orthodontics, and sedation.

Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour
