We are currently recruiting a full time Dental nurse to join our small ,friendly and dynamic team in Frome.

About us :

Portway Dental Practice is a 2 surgery facility with 3 Dentists and 1 Hygienist providing dental care to the local community. We are the only family run dental practice in Frome, Somerset and has been serving the community since 2015, under the care of our Principal Dentist, Tara Tabari.

We are a fully private practice offering a wide range of treatments including General dentistry , restorative , Invisalign and EMS Airflow equipment.

Working Days :

Monday- Friday

Working Hours :

08:15 - 17:45

(Pay Depending on experience)

A friendly, family run private practice within walking distance from the Town Centre, near the train station, and in an excellent location.

Previous experience of working in a dental practice is beneficial but not a requirement.

Training would also be provided to the right candidate who is keen, friendly and ambitious. Leading to a qualification in Dental Nursing, where training is provided on the job ,whilst receiving a monthly salary.

Job Role:

- Assist dentist, hygienist or therapist by providing dental chairside support duties relevant to stage of competence under supervision of a named GDC registrant in accordance with the GDC guidance for trainee dental nurse.

- If not already qualified , you will work towards a nationally recognised qualification leading to the registration with the GDC.

- Follow all practice policies and procedures.

- Establish, promote and maintain productive working relationships with all of the dental team.

- Assist with reception duties and perform other clerical duties if and when required

-Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your work

About you:

As a nurse , your primary role is to look after the wellbeing of the patients under your care and the right candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

- We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated dental nurse who presents as a team player, exceptional organisation and time management

- GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above are essential to undertake the trainee course with the NEBDN.

- Valid GDC registration if already qualified

- Passionate about learning and providing excellent care to our patients

- To be well-presented and articulate
