The Offerton Dental are seeking a dedicated and professional Qualified Dental professional to join our expanding dental team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will support our dentists in delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the practice. The ideal candidate will be a team player who demonstrates excellent communication skills, a helpful attitude, and a strong commitment to maintaining a positive, welcoming environment for both patients and staff.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take patient dental histories, record vital signs, and maintain accurate patient records.
Provide chairside assistance during treatments, including taking X-rays and impressions when required.
Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring they are stocked and ready for procedures.
Educate patients on dental care and provide post-treatment instructions.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional environment in line with practice standards.
Support the dental team by managing patient appointments, handling phone calls, and updating patient records.
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient concerns with care and empathy.
Stay up-to-date with dental techniques, procedures, and regulations.
Essential Requirements:
Dental Nurse qualification
(Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing or equivalent).
Registered with the General Dental Council (GDC)
(or in the process of registration).
Strong
team player
with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and maintain a positive working environment.
Proactive
approach to daily tasks, anticipating needs and managing workload efficiently.
A
helpful and empathetic
attitude, ensuring patients feel comfortable and cared for.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain procedures to patients clearly.
Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of the practice.
Knowledge of dental software and basic office administration is a plus.
Desirable:
Additional certifications or training in dental specialties.
