We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Qualified Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medication to patients. Your expertise in patient care and medication administration will be vital in supporting our commitment to high-quality healthcare services. You will be required to work in our Gerafon Surgery and Tal y Bont Surgery. The post is for 2 days per week but with the flexibility to cover additional days when required.
Responsibilities
Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes through effective medication management.
Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and patient interactions.
Assist in inventory management, including ordering and restocking medications as needed.
Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
Stay updated on pharmaceutical developments, including new medications and treatment protocols.
Skills
Strong background in patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs.
Proficient in medication administration with a thorough understanding of pharmacology.
Experience as a pharmacy technician is highly desirable, showcasing familiarity with pharmacy operations and practices.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in medication dispensing and record keeping.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated to manage individual responsibilities.
