Job Description
This position is for a qualified dispenser to join our team at Witheridge Medical Centre. This position also entails some reception duties. We are part of Amicus Health, and have three GP Surgeries under a dispensing contract which are located at Witheridge Medical Centre, Cheriton Fitzpaine Surgery and Morchard Bishop Surgery.
The hours for this position will be predominantly based at Witheridge Medical Centre, however the successful applicant will be expected to cover dispensing shifts at both our branch sites.
Job Summary
Provide efficient and accurate dispensing of medication to the patients; processing all relevant prescriptions in accordance with the principles of good practice.
Offer general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone
Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way
Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the Practice including the provision of clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the Practice team
Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies
