Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development of children aged 2-5 years. The Early Years Educator will play a crucial role in supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing through engaging activities and effective communication with both children and their families.

Duties

Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children in your care. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform planning and support individual learning needs. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding their child's development and well-being, providing regular updates and feedback. Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team environment that supports the overall mission of the nursery. Uphold health and safety standards within the nursery setting, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills in early childhood education and childcare practices.

Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience working with young children. Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. Strong management and leadership skills to guide and support junior staff members. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. A valid driving licence is preferred for potential travel between locations or outings with children. A genuine passion for childcare, demonstrating patience, empathy, and enthusiasm when working with young learners.
