Hours: 9.30 - 5.30:



Term time only: 9.30 - 3.00 - working in the nursery as a Nursery Assistant/Teacher.

3.00 - 5.30 - working in our After School Club.

There is the opportunity to work in our Holiday Club based in Elsfield to increase income

Salary range:



From 25,000 - 27000 - dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Additional salary can be earned by working in the school holiday club.

Contract: Permanent. Full Time.

Qualifications required:



EY qualifications - Level 3+.

A Montessori diploma is desirable but not essential.

First Aid training also an advantage will need to be undertaken if accept the position.

SEND training and/or experience is also an advantage

Experience:



Experience working within the EYFS Framework and experience with 2 - 5 years aged children essential.

We have been let down by a potential candidate at the last minute - hence this is an URGENT appointment.

A bonus of 1000 will be paid to the successful candidate on being able to start asap and upon completion of the first full academic school year.

We are looking for a professional, caring, energetic and enthusiastic person to become part of our great working team in our busy nursery located at our Forest Farm School site in Elsfield on the outskirts of Oxford. Obviously you must have a good working knowledge of the EYFS and enjoy working with a team of staff. Montessori training is an advantage but not essential.

Job description:



Term time :



To work as part of a professional team with other EY teachers in the nursery with children from 2-5 years old

To support the supervisor and staff and share duties throughout the day

To ensure strong safeguarding knowledge and ensure safeguarding procedures are upheld at all times

To undertake safeguarding training and attend regular in house training

To support supervising children outside

To share organisation of classroom preparation

To select activities appropriate to children's needs

To be aware and participate in the day to day planning for children

To have a good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS

To enhance children's learning in all areas of the curriculum through a wide range of Montessori and other materials, discussion, real experiences and shared thinking

School holidays as Holiday Club Staff:

EY staff are contracted to work 10 days - of their choosing - in our Holiday Club.

Any additional days worked paid in addition to basic salary.

General responsibilities in Holiday Club:



To supervise groups of children in the Holiday Club

To plan activities - both indoor and outside - for the Holiday Club

To work as part of a team on a daily basis

If any particular strengths - deliver workshops in your specialist area - eg sport, drama, dance etc..

Terms and Conditions:



Enhanced DBS essential - can be obtained through OMS

Prevent training essential - undertaken upon acceptance of role

A probation period of one term will be undertaken - during this time one month's notice may be given by either party

One full term's notice is required to terminate employment either way following a successful probationary period

Sickness Allowance is 5 days per year and evidence will be required. You will be entitled to SSP if further sick days are taken longer than 3 days continuously on a pro rata basis

You will be paid in increments of twelfths throughout the year, which will include your holiday pay and also when the school is closed

Staff must adhere to all Safeguarding procedures at all times

Staff must be familiar with all KCSIE updates and any other relevant safeguarding information and procedures

Staff/Pupil/Parent Confidentiality must be maintained at all times

The ACAS Code of Practice for Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures is followed
