Opportunity for a passionate team player to join our friendly team in September 2025. You will be qualified as a level 3 practitioner in early years. Term time only, 9am - 4pm Monday & - Friday. Salary is dependent on experience and qualification.
Main activities
:
You will be responsible for planning and engaging in activities for the children at the preschool. You will ensure the nursery provides a safe, enriched and stimulating environment for every child to make individual progress. The preschool looks after children aged 2 - 4 years 11 months.
You will work with a team of qualified practitioners following the policies and procedures set out for the preschool. To help all children achieve their potential you will work collaboratively with the team to plan and deliver activities to our high standards and remain statutory compliant at all times.
You will be passionate about helping young children have the best start in life, and want to be part of their journey.
You will have empathy and understanding for children under 5 years, excellent communication skills, be organised and have an ability to keep clear and accurate records. You will be reliable, enthusiastic and be passionate about early years.
Main Responsibilities
:
- to deliver and ensure a high standard of learning, development and care for the children aged 2 - 5 in the setting
- engage with day to day activities in the setting with involvement in planning
- ensure a safe environment for children and others
- have a number of key children, write observations and termly reports (training provided)
- develop partnerships with parents/carers to engage them in their child's development
- any tasks as designated by the setting manager
