Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified English Teacher to join our educational institution. The ideal candidate will possess a strong command of the English language and a desire to inspire students through engaging lessons and innovative teaching methods. This role requires a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth.

Pay:

30-35 per hour

Hours:

6 hours on the weekend

Saturdays and Sundays 4:15pm to 7:15pm

Duties

Teach English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening, to students of varying ages and abilities. Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support their development. Create an inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, collaboration, and critical thinking. Incorporate technology and multimedia resources into lessons to enhance student engagement. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall improvement of the educational programme. Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as required.

Requirements

A degree in English, Education, or a related field is essential. Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent) is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage students effectively. Experience in teaching English at various levels is advantageous but not mandatory. Familiarity with current educational practices and curriculum standards. A passion for literature and the ability to inspire students' love for reading and writing. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively.
