We are seeking an experienced Modular Cabin Joiner to join our production/installation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery, particularly within modular buildings, prefabricated cabins, or offsite construction. You will be responsible for the accurate assembly, installation, and finishing of timber structures, ensuring all work meets high-quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacture, assemble, and install modular cabin components, including walls, floors, doors, internal linings, and external cladding.
Interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications with precision.
Carry out first- and second-fix joinery work within modular units.
Install fixtures, fittings, insulation, flooring, windows, partitions, and trims.
Ensure all work meets required quality, structural, and safety standards.
Work collaboratively with production teams, electricians, plumbers, painters, and site supervisors/managers.
Conduct adjustments, repairs, and finishing work as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
Follow company procedures for health & safety, quality control, and compliance.
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a joiner within modular construction, prefab cabins, or timber-frame building.
Strong carpentry/joinery skills, including accurate measuring, cutting, and assembly.
Ability to read and understand detailed technical drawings.
Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and workshop machinery.
Experience with first fix, second fix, and finishing joinery.
Understanding of structural timber methods, insulation, and cladding.
High level of attention to detail and workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong understanding of health & safety regulations.
Have your own transport
Desirable Qualifications
NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent).
CSCS card for site work.
Experience in off-site modular manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of composite materials, UPVC windows/doors, and lightweight steel framing (if applicable).
