Job Summary


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development and learning of young children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.

This role is full time, 40 hours per week, between 7.30am to 6.30pm, all year through.

This is NOT a term time position as we are a private day nursery

Duties



Plan and implement engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 0-5 years. Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages children to explore, learn, and grow. Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as necessary. Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment conducive to learning. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high standards of care and education are met. Support children's social and emotional development through effective communication and guidance. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions. Maintain accurate records of children's development and attendance.

Skills



Strong management and leadership abilities to guide a team effectively. Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A solid understanding of early childhood education principles and practices. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A nurturing approach with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues. Driving skills may be advantageous for transporting children or resources as needed.
