Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Lunch Cover to join our team on a term-time only basis. This role is essential in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children during their lunch period. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childcare and early childhood education, along with the ability to communicate effectively with both children and staff.

Duties

Supervise children during lunch, ensuring their safety and well-being. Assist in managing lunchtime activities, promoting positive interactions among children. Communicate effectively with children, encouraging good manners and social skills. Support children with their meals, ensuring they are eating properly and helping those who may need assistance. Maintain a clean and organised dining area before, during, and after lunch. Collaborate with other staff members to create a harmonious lunchtime experience. Report any concerns regarding children's behaviour or well-being to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements

Relevant experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential. A strong understanding of child development and the ability to manage groups of children effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, particularly in English. Leadership qualities that enable you to guide and support children positively. A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their development. Ability to drive may be advantageous for commuting purposes.
