Job Summary


The Nursery Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This position requires strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education. The Nursery Manager will be responsible for managing staff, communicating effectively with parents, and driving the nursery's vision to provide high-quality childcare. Duties



Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Manage and lead a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance and support to foster their development. Develop and implement educational programmes that promote children's learning and development in line with early years frameworks. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, addressing any concerns or queries regarding their children's progress. Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and other relevant documentation. Organise activities that encourage social interaction and cognitive development among children. Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and conducive to learning. Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's reputation within the community.

Skills



Proficient in English with excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and staff effectively. Strong leadership abilities to manage a diverse team and inspire them towards achieving common goals. Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is essential. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices is highly desirable. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail in a busy environment. A passion for nurturing children's growth and development through innovative programmes and activities.
Nursery Manager :

Competitive salary. Pension plan. 28 Days Annual leave including bank holidays. Monday to Friday.

What a Nursery Manager needs:



Must be at least Level 3 qualified in a UK recognised early years qualification. Excellent understanding of EYFS.
Extensive knowledge of safeguarding

Senior leadership experience within a nursery setting. It is a legal requirement to hold a GCSE or equivalent qualification in Maths or be willing to achieve within 2 years of starting the position.
Kidz Day Nursery Ltd is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children and young people. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role. We expect all staff and volunteers to uphold this commitment, and safeguarding training is a fundamental part of every role. All colleagues are required to complete regular training to ensure they understand and fulfil their responsibilities. A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate is mandatory for all positions, and this role will be subject to enhanced checks as part of our safeguarding duties.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 37.5 per week
