LITTLE EXPLORERS MONTESSORI NURSERY

Position: QUALIFIED Nursery Practitioner - minimum level 2 Diploma in Childcare

Little Explorers Montessori Nursery is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and creative

QUALIFIED

Nursery Practitioner to join our small setting, in central Cambridge.

The nursery has one large room to a maximum of 23 preschool mixed aged children, from 1 to 4 years old.

The setting opens Monday to Friday, 8am to 3pm.

Working Hours

The Nursery Practitioner position working hours will be weekly agreed between nursery and staff, according to necessity, inside nursery working hours Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 3:30pm.

Responsibilities

include but are not limited to the following:

Deliver the highest care, education standards and experiences for all children in the setting.

Fully supervise indoor and outdoor play, always ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children.

Assist the mealtimes ensuring high supervision of children at all times.

Be a role model of best practice and positive interaction, with children and staff, leading by example.

To have clear communication with the team to ensure the needs of all the children are meeting.

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all policies and procedures, ensuring they are implemented and followed at all times;

Working as part of the team to ensure all essential day to day tasks are completed, including hygiene standards (helping to clean floors, children's table for meals and kitchen) and room preparation (unpack, setup and pack away the nursery);

Assist children with their meals and personal hygiene as needed;

Attend staff meetings and training for personal and professional development, when required.

Essential Experience:

Full and Relevant Qualification Level 2, as a minimum;

Proven experience of working with children 0 to 5 years old (references will be requested and checked)

Excellent communication.

Desirable Experience:

Child Protection training (can be provided)

. Food hygiene training (can be provided)

A good and practical knowledge of the EYFS

Experience in a Montessori setting is desirable
