Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Nursery Practitioner to serve as the Room Lead in our early childhood education setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a classroom of young children, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes developmental growth. This role requires a passionate individual with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of childhood development, and experience working with children of various ages, including infants and toddlers.

Duties



Lead and supervise daily activities within the classroom, ensuring they are engaging, educational, and age-appropriate Develop and implement activity plans aligned with early childhood education standards Monitor and support children's emotional, social, and physical development Maintain a safe and clean environment in compliance with health and safety regulations Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and address any concerns Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth classroom operations Conduct regular assessments of children's development and adapt activities accordingly Ensure all staff adhere to policies related to child safety, behavior management, and inclusive practices Provide first aid when necessary and maintain accurate records of incidents or concerns

Skills



Proven experience in early childhood education, childcare, or related fields such as preschool or daycare settings Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and practices Experience with classroom management and behavior management strategies Ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members First aid certification is highly desirable Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus Knowledge of special education principles and inclusive teaching practices Ability to lead a team while maintaining a nurturing and supportive environment Skills in caregiving, babysitting, nannying, or teaching are beneficial for this role
