We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and develop. Responsibilities
Planning and implementing engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with early childhood education standards
Supervising children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods to ensure safety and wellbeing
Supporting children's emotional needs through attentive care and positive interaction
Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment
Collaborating with colleagues to develop personalised care plans for each child
Communicating effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
Assisting with daily administrative tasks related to child records and activity documentation
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Contributing to the organisation of nursery events and outings, including driving when necessary
Qualifications
Prior experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages
Strong management and leadership skills to support team collaboration and organisational goals
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to build trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Childcare or Eduacation qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent/ Qualified Teacher are preferred
A caring attitude, patience, creativity, and organisational skills are essential for success in this role
