Dental Nurse - Full-Time or Part-Time (Qualified or Trainee)

Ness Bank Dental Practice are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated qualified or trainee Dental Nurse to join our friendly, well-established and approachable team.
Our proudly independent practice treats Private, NHS and Highland Dental Plan patients and experience in this type of environment would be an advantage.
The successful candidate must be willing to demonstrate the highest levels of patient care and have the ability to work on their own initiative, as well as part of a team
An understanding of Dentally computer system is beneficial but not essential as full training would be given.
This is an initial temporary position to provide maternity cover, with potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

About You
:
Qualified or trainee dental nurse
Positive, professional, and caring attitude
Good communication and teamwork skills
Enthusiastic and eager to develop your skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Keep the clinical areas and all equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile as appropriate according to the practice's health and safety and infection control procedures and manufacturers' instructions.
Use all equipment and machinery in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations and ensure that they are maintained regularly and in good working order
Provide chairside assistance
Ensure the care and welfare of patients
Accurately complete patient clinical records as directed by the dentist
Comply with all health and safety rules and guidance, including PPE, COSHH, mercury handling, infection control, waste disposal etc.
Ensure computer/written records are accurately maintained and securely stored
Liaise with reception to ensure smooth patient communications and transfer of records
Other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the practice (including receptionist duties)
Assist and complete any training relevant to the position
For Trainee Dental Nurses:
The candidate must be committed to their training schedule and create a positive, progressive learning environment for themselves as they work through the training process and necessary modules.
There are no late night or weekend work commitments but study or lessons outside of work may be necessary
Start date
: Approximately end of January.
