Job Description

We are looking for either a Qualified or Trainee Dental nurse to join our team on a permanent, full or part-time (min 3 days) basis. The role consists of an 8 hr shift between the hours of 9.00am - 6.00pm with one day being a later finish around 7.30pm. We open one Saturday morning per month and the shifts are shared by the full nursing team which means you would be working a half day Saturday every 2-3 months.

We have two practices, West Hove and Portslade Village, and we are looking for new team members for both. We are family owned and offer competitive rates of pay, performance bonus's and incentive schemes as well as free on street parking, socials and a supportive working environment.

Key Tasks

Set-up and prepare the surgery for the type of patient and treatment planned before the start of each session Clean and sterilise all equipment and working surfaces to the required standards at the end of each session Prepare the necessary materials and instruments Ensure safe disposal of sharps and clinical waste Keep all clinical areas including sterilising/OPG room clean and tidy and assist in the correct procedure for dental radiography Provide clinical assistance to the dentist [hygienist/therapist] while treating the patient, acting under his/her supervision Assist the dentist or hygienist in the completion of patient records
Salary: dependent on experience, starting from 12.21 for trainees
