Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering and related construction skills, demonstrating proficiency with both power and hand tools. As a Plasterer, you will be responsible for applying plaster, rendering surfaces, and ensuring high-quality finishes on various projects. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, smoothing, and applying bonding agents as necessary. Mix plaster materials according to specifications and ensure consistency in texture and application. Apply plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using appropriate techniques and tools. Finish surfaces with precision, ensuring even coverage and smooth finishes. Repair damaged plasterwork as required, including patching holes and cracks. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as bricklayers and carpenters to ensure seamless integration of plasterwork with other building elements. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Adhere to health and safety regulations on-site to ensure a safe working environment.

Experience

Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry is essential. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to plastering tasks. Experience with masonry techniques is advantageous; knowledge of bricklaying is a plus. Familiarity with welding processes can be beneficial for certain projects involving metal structures. Previous experience working alongside carpenters or on roofing projects is desirable but not mandatory. Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver high-quality workmanship consistently.
