Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Room Leader to oversee daily operations within our childcare facility. This position is in the under two rooms. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children. This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead a team, ensure high standards of care, and contribute positively to the development of young children. Candidates should be organised, proactive, and possess excellent communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support staff during shifts to ensure smooth daily operations Oversee child activities, ensuring they are engaging, safe, and age-appropriate Maintain a nurturing environment that promotes early childhood development Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times Assist in planning educational programmes aligned with early childhood education standards Manage administrative tasks such as attendance records and daily reports Lead by example in demonstrating professionalism, patience, and enthusiasm for childcare

Qualifications

Proven management or leadership experience within childcare or nursery settings Experience working with children, preferably within early childhood education or nursery environments Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written Knowledge of childcare best practices and health & safety regulations Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively Level 3 in childcare

Pay: 13.00-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
