Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Room lead to support with the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with a solid background in early childhood education. This role requires a commitment to providing a safe, nurturing environment for children while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Duties

Support the manager in the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained. Lead and support a team of childcare professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Develop and implement educational programmes that promote children's development and learning in line with early years frameworks. Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding regulations, conducting regular risk assessments.

Requirements

Proven experience in management or leadership roles within a childcare setting. Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices. Experience working with children in a nursery or similar environment is essential. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children, parents, and staff. A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation purposes related to nursery activities. Ability to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for children and families while maintaining professionalism at all times. A commitment to ongoing professional development in childcare practices is highly desirable.

Pay: From 13.44 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
