We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their early development and learning. Responsibilities
Planning and delivering engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children in the nursery setting
Supervising children during playtime, meal times, and rest periods to ensure safety and well-being
Supporting children's emotional, social, and physical development through personalised care
Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
Assisting with the organisation of daily routines and educational programmes
Communicating effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and behaviour
Leading small groups of children during activities, fostering independence and confidence
Contributing to the overall management of the nursery team by sharing best practices and supporting colleagues
Driving responsibilities may include transporting children safely to outings or appointments when required
Skills
Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting
Strong management and leadership abilities to guide both children and team members effectively
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations
Ability to organise activities that promote learning through play
Compassionate, patient, and nurturing demeanour with a genuine passion for child development
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and planning
Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending off-site activities
Level 3 required Qualification.
