Qualified Social Workers required within Adults Mental Health & Substance Misuse
3 Month Contract
Rate 38 Per hour (Umbrella Rate)
Location: Basingstoke + Hybrid working
Responsibilities of role include:
Supervision and Practice Leadership
Potentially providing supervision for Case Workers and Senior Case
workers and practice advice on complex cases.
Making professional decisions on cases and
recommendations to team manager about risk.
Triaging safeguarding referrals and making informed
decisions.
Support and advice
Triaging phone or online referrals, in line with strengths-
based practice.
Following up enquiries to confirm queries have been
resolved.
Being available at specific times for individuals, unless
otherwise agreed.
Identifying risk and escalating safeguarding concerns as
necessary.
Preparing clear and concise reports for individuals' files
that can be clearly understood by colleagues.
Recording feedback (positive and negative), in line with
the appropriate policy.
Relationship management
Maintaining excellent working relationships with
colleagues at all levels.
Building positive and professional relationships with
stakeholders including the people who use our service,
relatives and providers.
Assessments
Conducting s9 care act assessments
Conducting carers assessments.
Conducting wellbeing assessments to identify
individual's level of needs and support available.
Conducting mental capacity assessments (where
appropriate for the client group).
Continuing Personal and Service Improvement
Pro-actively seeking to maintain up-to-date knowledge
and skills to the expected standard, including changes to
policies and legislation.
Attending all training.
Taking part in the quality assurance process, taking
ownership for improving skills/knowledge from the
feedback.
Developing and maintaining specialist knowledge in
relation to needs and resources in order to support the
client group.
Providing and receiving feedback for development.
Maintaining professional registration.
Safeguarding
All employees will be required to adhere to internal
safeguarding policies, procedures and guidance, taking
action and raising concerns as appropriate. Where a
professional code of conduct applies to the role, this
must also be adhered to.
