Job Description

We are a dynamic and rapidly expanding law firm based in the heart of Manchester, specialising in consumer financial litigation. We act for individuals in high-profile claims against lenders and financial institutions, including matters relating to Plevin/PPI, motor finance and secret commissions.

We are now seeking a

qualified solicitor

to join our litigation team. The ideal candidate will not shy away from challenging the misconduct of major financial institutions and will thrive in pursuing justice for consumers against opponents with deep pockets. Determination, positivity, and resilience under pressure are essential.

About you



We are looking specifically for experienced Solicitors with 3 years+ Post Qualification Experience for this role. You will be committed to providing a high level of client care. You will be an ambitious and dynamic individual. A positive "can do" attitude is key to our culture and business model. You will be organised, have a strong work ethic and good attention to detail.

Responsibilities



Managing a litigated caseload independently across Small Track, Fast Track, and Multi Track claims. Reviewing and assessing claim merits with a critical eye. Drafting pleadings, witness statements, skeleton arguments, and settlement negotiations. Preparing trial bundles and ensuring cases are trial-ready. Pursuing disclosure and analysing complex documentation. Conducting and/or preparing for Preliminary, Direction and Allocation Hearings. Signing off paralegal work and providing guidance to junior team members. Keeping up to date with developments in financial litigation and consumer credit law. Building and maintaining strong client relationships, managing expectations, and ensuring excellent client care. Contributing positively to a collaborative team environment and supporting colleagues to achieve shared goals.

Key Skills & Experience



UK-qualified solicitor with at least 3 years' PQE in consumer and, contract litigation or consumer credit disputes. Proven experience managing a litigated caseload to a high standard. Strong drafting, research, and advocacy skills. Demonstrated success in Fast Track and Multi Track cases. Experience supervising or signing off paralegal work is highly desirable. Excellent interpersonal and client-handling skills. Highly organised with the ability to meet strict court deadlines. Confident communicator, both written and oral.
