Qualified Systems Supervisor





Team Swift is recruiting for a Qualified Systems Supervisor to join our team! The QS is responsible for the technical standard, safety, and quality of all electrical and systems installation work undertaken by the company. The role involves working alongside stakeholders from the manufacturing team to advise and enforce stringent engineering standards to ensure our world-class leisure vehicle products are built OTIF and to our exacting quality standards.


You will have the opportunity to be part of the growing popularity of the British staycation and work within a fast-paced, EPIC, dynamic and modern manufacturing environment. The role reports directly to the Engineering Director.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES





The QS will work in conjunction with the manufacturing team to achieve the following:

Supervise and monitor electrical work to ensure compliance with relevant legislative frameworks and industry standards. Ensure inspection and testing results are accurately recorded on appropriate certificates and reports. Maintain accurate records of all electrical certification and associated documentation. Ensure calibration and maintenance of all test equipment. Assist operatives, managers and manufacturing engineers to problem solve electrical and systems issues as they arise, thus minimising disruption and delays within production with a relentless focus on stopping incomplete products from leaving the line. Provide technical advice and guidance to electricians, apprentices, and subcontractors. Mentor and support electricians and apprentices to improve testing and inspection standards. Identify training needs and ensure operatives maintain competence in line with company requirements. Carry out periodic inspections and quality audits and address compliance issues. Assist investigations of warranty concerns, including dealer visits where applicable. Ensuring compliance with all NICEIC Approved Contractor Scheme requirements and the Electrotechnical Assessment Specification (EAS): Work closely with the Principal Duty Holder (PDH) to ensure clear delineation of responsibilities and compliance with NICEIC expectations. Maintain NICEIC registration and ensure compliance with all NICEIC rules for continued enrolment. Prepare for and attend annual NICEIC assessments and audits. Validate, compile, and sign off all NICEIC electrical certification, including EICRs, installation certificates, and minor works certificates. Represent the company during NICEIC audits and client meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE



Qualifications:



NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (or equivalent). 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671). Inspection & Testing / Initial Verification (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent). Demonstrable competence in supervising electrical work and interpreting test results. ECS Registered Electrician Gold Card (preferred). IOSH or NEBOSH qualification is desirable.

Individual requirements:



Previous experience overseeing installations of electrical and systems works. Practical skills with knowledge and capabilities to use typical production equipment and tools. Highly driven self-starter with an ability to deal with problems quickly and efficiently. Good interpersonal skills and be robust when technical and quality matters. Strong verbal, written communication and reporting skills. Ability to break down barriers to change and be robust when required. Ability to work under pressure, to deadlines, whilst maintaining process disciplines.

Desirable Experience:



Previous experience as a NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor. Experience in commercial and industrial electrical and systems installations. Familiarity with NICEIC audit processes and compliance frameworks. * Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality framework.
