Job Description

We are seeking a full-time experienced and qualified dental nurse to join our long-established, mixed, three-surgery dental practice, located in a picturesque village just outside of Canterbury.

General surgery duties with a small element of reception work for which full training and support will be provided. The role will also involve a small element of time on reception, so previous experience would be ideal, but full training and support will be provided.

Must be able to work as part of our close team and to work with both dentists and hygienists as required.

Salary will depend on experience.

This is a permanent position with a start date of January/February 2026 for 5 days per week with a late evening. Our surgery hours are:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8.30-13.00 and 14.00- 17.30,

Tuesday 8.30-13.00 and 14.00- 19.00

Friday 8.30-13.00 and 13.30-17.00.

We are fully computerised, using R4 with digital x-rays.

Hourly rate would vary depend on experience.

Wingham is an established village a few miles from central Canterbury. The practice is situated on the High Street and has ample free parking within a minutes' walk.

The ideal candidate will have/be:-

Excellent communication skills, fluent English

Experience of working in practice for at least 10m

Caring, warm and friendly to patients

Able to provide good customer service/experience

Requirements:

Ideal candidate will have 2+ years experience of working in a busy mixed private and NHS dental clinic, with excellent communication skills.

Dental nursing qualification (preferred, though would consider a someone already enrolled on a course with at least 10-12m in practice).

Essential requirements include

GDC reg.

Valid immunisations (Hep B)

eDBS

CPD certificates

Proof of right to work in UK
