We are seeking a dedicated Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will provide essential support to dentists during clinical procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain high standards of hygiene and organisation within the practice. Responsibilities

Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring the smooth running of appointments. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilising instruments and setting up necessary equipment. Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment care instructions, ensuring their comfort and understanding. Maintain accurate patient records and update clinical notes in accordance with practice protocols. Ensure all dental instruments and equipment are properly sterilised and maintained in line with health and safety standards. Support with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient correspondence. Uphold strict hygiene standards throughout the practice, adhering to infection control guidelines. Offer compassionate support to anxious or nervous patients, fostering a welcoming environment.

Skills

Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards individuals of all ages. Excellent communication skills in English, capable of explaining procedures clearly and empathetically. Basic nursing knowledge relevant to dental care, including infection control procedures. Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy environment. IT literacy for maintaining electronic patient records and managing appointment schedules. Effective communication skills to liaise with colleagues and patients professionally.
