Job Description

The quality administrator provides administrative and coordination support to ensure the effective running of the daily Quality Control team. The role focuses on significant organisational tasks, effective team working, an ability to communicate with others, and the ability to be flexible and prioritise competing tasks. You will help support the day-to-day quality team, working closely with the Quality manager.

Principal duties will include: - accurately inputting data as requested, using various forms, formats and systems. Operation of internal information systems, ensuring accurate and up to date information is processed and maintained, monitoring the designated quality email inbox, and requesting and filing documentation.

Main Tasks



Strong communication when dealing with Customers, quality, technical and compliance manager with daily issues and requests. Monitoring e-mail inbox's Supervise the activities of the quality team to ensure they are fully engaged. Assist QC's Ensure continuous improvement best practices and challenge existing ways of working and people to bring about improvement, as well as effective team working. Help control and issue product specifications and quality documents and maintain up-to-date files within the workplace to support internal and external audits. Customer specifications - issue two hard copies QC and production. Communicate customer specifications to QC's, Line Leaders and Supervisors. Create and update customer information cards and send to the customer for approval. Product labels - oversee the design of labels based on customer requirements. Send labels to customers for approval. Issue label confirmation sheet. Label specification - to be kept in the label confirmation folder. Responsible to ensure daily calibration checks and checking equipment. Investigate all rejections and feedback findings both to internal and external recipients via email or verbally during am or pm meeting. Keep customer rejection logs up-to-date and communicate both internal and external rejections to QC team members and production teams. Update and maintain the QC board with all relevant product information and hot list. Issue to the relevant teams the grower's approval list and check against product on arrival.
Suitable candidates will be able to show previous administrative experience, ideally within a food manufacturing environment.

This role involves liaising with many different areas of the business, meaning you'll also need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
