. This role involves performing quality inspections on compounds and raw materials to ensure compliance with standards prior to customer release. The successful candidate will be capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct physical, mechanical, electrical, and chemical testing on compounds and raw materials in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Accurately record and report test results with attention to detail.
Manage and prioritise workload based on production requirements.
Interpret and apply technical documentation, including Manufacturing Specifications, Product Drawings, and Test Reports.
Participate in Lean/TEOA activities, including Kaizen initiatives.
Comply with site Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures.
Support Operational Tier meetings by preparing and sharing relevant data and providing timely feedback to the Quality team.
Assist with deviations and concessions to enable effective communication by Quality Engineers with internal and external stakeholders.
Provide short-term coverage for key Quality Team activities during planned or unplanned absences.
Contribute to scrap reduction initiatives and problem-solving efforts, including 8D activities.
Actively engage in TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) initiatives, identifying improvement opportunities and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Deliver mandatory and role-specific Quality training on-site.
Support internal and external audits.
Perform other duties as reasonably requested by management.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing Quality Lab or materials manufacturing business unit.
Strong PC skills and ability to learn new systems and laboratory equipment.
Excellent attention to detail, numeracy, and communication skills (verbal and written).
Strong team spirit and ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external customers across diverse cultures.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing priorities, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
