Boran Mopack Ltd are seeking a proactive Quality Assistant to support the Quality Manager and wider operations team in maintaining and improving product and process quality across the factory.
The role involves working with all departments across the factory, with a particular focus on the Print Department, to ensure consistent quality standards, accurate testing, compliance with customer requirements, and preparation for audits. The role will also provide support in maintaining the factory's Environmental Management System (EMS), ensuring compliance with environmental standards and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance
Assist in inspections of products, materials, and processes to ensure compliance with company and customer standards.
Conduct routine tests, record data, and highlight trends or areas for improvement.
Support the Quality Manager in implementing and maintaining quality control systems.
Help investigate non-conformities, customer complaints, and quality issues, ensuring corrective actions are documented and completed.
Collaborate with other departments to enhance product and process quality.
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare accurate quality and environmental reports, records, and data for management review.
Maintain documentation for audits, non-conformances, and quality control processes.
Provide administrative support factory-wide as required.
Audits & Compliance
Participate in internal and external audits by preparing documentation and assisting with audit activities.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and Health & Safety requirements.
Support training and awareness sessions on quality and environmental standards.
Environmental Management
Assist with the implementation and maintenance of Boran Mopack Ltd's Environmental Management System (EMS).
Monitor and report environmental KPIs (e.g., waste, recycling, energy use, emissions).
Support sustainability projects and liaise with external bodies on environmental matters.
General Duties
Provide admin support and other duties as required by the company.
Collaborate with other departments to enhance product and process quality.
Ensure PPE levels are maintained and order items when required.
Ensure Health and Safety regulations are adhered to across the factory.
Requirements:
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with different departments.
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Previous experience within a similar role (1-2 years preferred).
Knowledge of quality control procedures, standards, and regulations (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, HACCP, BRC)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
