As part of our continued growth and pursuit of excellence we are seeking to recruit a Quality Assurance & Curriculum Manager. This is a full-time role (35.5hrs), based primarily from our Aldridge Academy but will require travel to our Telford Academy also.

Role Purpose



The Quality Assurance & Curriculum Manager plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing the academic excellence and integrity of In-Comm's educational programs. This role is responsible for leading the design, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of curricula across all departments to ensure alignment with national standards, accreditation requirements, and In-Comm goals. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, the Quality Assurance & Curriculum Manager ensures that teaching, learning, and assessment practices meet high-quality benchmarks and foster outstanding learner outcomes. The role also oversees quality assurance frameworks, conducts regular program reviews, and drives data-informed initiatives that promote innovation, consistency, and compliance within the education delivery process. This position safeguards the academic reputation of In-Comm by ensuring that every program offered meets rigorous quality standards and provides students with a meaningful, relevant, and future-focused learning experience.

Main Duties



Own and manage the organisation's Quality Assurance Strategy Lead cycle of Self-Assessment and Quality Improvement Planning, analysing data and trends to identify strengths and address improvement areas aligned with Ofsted current Inspection Framework judgements. Oversee reporting and monitoring of Qualification Achievement rates (QAR) completing a review of trend analysis Oversee reporting and monitoring of End Point Assessment Achievement rates completing a review of trend analysis Oversee reporting and monitoring of OTLA strategy and Quality Assurance Tracking system to ensure effectiveness Regularly review sector lead action plans to ensure Intent, implementation, and impact are recorded throughout delivery and linked into the overall organisation's Quality Improvement Plan and report to SLT. Oversee the delivery of SEN provision Oversee the delivery of safeguarding provision and act as joint designated safeguarding lead. Manage key external relationships supporting and/or leading regulatory accreditation, inspections or external audits such as ISO, Matrix as examples. Support developing and cascading best practice guidance and information to support the safe delivery of services/trials/studies. Manage and develop the Quality Management System. Review and approve policies and guidance to ensure quality standards are maintained. Build effective working relationships with Operations and other SLT members. Lead initiatives to ensure robust Personal Development and Careers Education Information and Guidance (CEIAG) for learners such as support and challenge weeks. Oversee reporting and monitoring of the Learner Voice Strategy completing a review of trend analysis. Oversee monitoring and management of Curriculum version control and auditing against funding requirements.

Key Objectives



Ensure Academic Quality and Compliance.

Develop, implement, and monitor robust quality assurance frameworks that align with national and international education standards, regulatory requirements, and accreditation criteria. Maintain compliance with all external quality audits, inspections, and reporting obligations.
Lead Curriculum Design and Development.

Oversee the design, review, and continuous improvement of curricula to ensure relevance, rigor, and alignment with institutional vision and learner needs. Integrate current industry trends, pedagogical best practices, and emerging technologies into curriculum frameworks.
Enhance Teaching, Learning, and Assessment Standards.

Promote evidence-based teaching and learning practices that support student engagement and achievement. Standardize assessment and moderation processes to ensure fairness, validity, and reliability across programs.
Drive Continuous Improvement and Innovation.

Lead data-driven quality enhancement initiatives based on learner outcomes, stakeholder feedback, and performance metrics. Identify opportunities for innovation in curriculum delivery, assessment models, and quality assurance systems.
Build Staff Capability and Quality Culture.

Provide professional development, guidance, and support to academic staff in curriculum design, assessment, and quality assurance practices. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence across all academic areas.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including accrediting bodies, industry partners, and educational authorities, to ensure alignment and relevance. Communicate quality assurance outcomes, review findings, and recommendations to senior leadership and teaching teams.
Monitor Performance and Report Outcomes.

Establish measurable performance indicators for academic quality and curriculum effectiveness. Produce regular reports and improvement plans to inform strategic decision-making and institutional planning.

Champion learner-centred education by ensuring programs are inclusive, outcome-focused, and responsive to student, community, and industry needs. Lead quality audits, validations, and accreditations with professionalism and attention to detail, ensuring readiness and positive outcomes. Demonstrate accountability and integrity in all aspects of planning, decision-making, and quality management.

Qualifications



Essential:

GCSE Mathematics Grade 4 or above (or equivalent) GCSE English Grade 4 or above (or equivalent) Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Sector L3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (or equivalent) L4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice (or equivalent) L5 ILM in Leadership and Management (or equivalent)
