Job Description

Role:

Exciting new position- will assist technical department in all aspects of the technical management activities at all the company's production and warehousing site based in Leicester. You will develop a food safety and quality culture across the business, to guarantee customer expectations are met and that the business is "BRCGS grade AA audit ready" at all times.

Key Accountabilities:

Provide practical support to promote a Quality Assurance/Food Safety Culture

Ensure the operational process and production of finished goods are appropriately controlled, via HACCP, to ensure compliance with food safety and customer standards. Generation and control of all factory system paperwork and the continual improvement of this.

Internal auditing of BRCGS accredited systems

Completion of the scheduled audits on time and assisting closure of any non-conformances

Ensuring supplier documents are up to date

Raising and investigation of non-conformances

Maintaining supplier and product/ingredients/packaging approvals

Ensuring microbiological testing program is up to date

Logging, investigation and closing customer complaints

Assist with on-site training

Deputise for Technical Managers when applicable; to include BRCGS and third party audits (in absence of Technical Compliance Manager)

Qualifications

Experience from a quality/technical based role within food manufacturing

Knowledge of HACCP and factory QMS gained through similar role in the food industry

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 31,000.00-33,000.00 per year
