Job Description

Palram Polycarb is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to oversee our quality assurance processes and ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in quality management systems and have the ability to analyse data effectively to drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role is crucial in maintaining compliance with industry regulations and enhancing customer satisfaction through superior product quality.

The purpose of this role also includes:

The maintenance of the desired level of quality in both service and product, through attention to every stage of the delivery or production process. To maintain and continuously improve Palram Polycarb's Quality Management System (QMS) and uphold compliance across all areas of the business. To ensure that products and services are fit for purpose in line with both internal requirements and customer expectations. To lead technological developments, including material trials (e.g., pigments, films, raw materials) and process improvements in collaboration with the Systems/HS Manager and Palram HQ.

Responsibilities



The successful candidate will report direct to the Plant Manager and the responsibilities of the role are:

Supervision, deployment and management of all Quality Department staff Devising and maintaining Polycarb's/ Palram Europe's quality procedures, standards and specifications to the required standard. Reviewing customer requirements, ensuring that they are met in all areas where practicable Ensuring that manufacturing or production processes meet international, national and internal standards. Opening, investigating and processing Quality and Supplier complaints. Implementing preventive and corrective actions. Ensuring all staff are trained in Polycarb's quality procedures, work instructions, quality requirements and Palram's quality vision. Control and retention of all documentation relating to quality assurance and traceability of product and its origin of manufacture. Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff. Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures. Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports. Preparing clear explanatory documents such as Quality alerts and information sheets regarding any customer's special requirements. Proactive communication with all sales, production, department and senior management Management and scheduling of internal and external audits ensuring compliance with QMS and external certification bodies. Preparing and chairing the management review meeting to be held with senior management team. Implementation and sustaining of 5's workplace systems within the quality department and areas. Conducting 5's audits in other departments

Requirements:



Key requirements for the role are:

Proven experience in a quality management role, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of QMS and quality assurance methodologies. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Excellent administration, record keeping and IT skills Relevant qualifications in Quality Management or related fields are advantageous.

Salary & benefits:



Competitive Salary The role is Monday to Friday, 38.75 hours per week with a 45 minute unpaid lunch break. Annual leave starts at 22 days per year plus the bank holidays increasing an extra day for each year of service up to a maximum of 25 days.
